Research
I am interested in the biological, psychological, and social factors associated with adjustment to chronic disease.
Specifically, I am interested in how changes in both the composition of social networks and individuals' roles within their networks (social integration) occurring during major social transitions are associated with diabetes-related behavior and health outcomes. In particular, my dissertation will likely focus on how these social factors exacerbate cardiovascuar compications in indivdiuals with diabetes.
I welcome inquiries regarding my research interests, as well as potential opportunities for collaboration.
I plan to start seeking post-doc positions in Summer, 2012 for a potential start time of Fall, 2013.
